Founder and Principal

Tom Warburton is the Chairman and Managing Director of Warburton Capital. Although there are many unitholders of Warburton Capital, Tom is the largest owner.  In addition to his management responsibilities, Tom serves as a Personal CFO helping a small number of successful Business Owners, endowments, and foundations make smart financial decisions and achieve their wealth management goals.

With experience in both public and private enterprise, Tom boasts a résumé that includes tenure of more than a decade with the high-net-worth specialist groups of JP Morgan, Bank of Oklahoma, Citizens National Bank of Waukegan and the First National Bank of Chicago. Having bought, founded and sold fourteen companies, he has well over four decades of experience as a private business owner in the data processing, industrial valve, temporary-help, vintage musical instrument and financial services industries.

He is the author of two books on Wealth Management: Timeless Wealth Management and Purposeful Wealth Management. Tom, who holds a Series 66 license, is a graduate of Indiana University, where he was an All-American swimmer and Olympic Trials competitor.  An occasional golfer and musician, he has been involved as a Board Member or as a volunteer with the Jack Benny Center for the Performing Arts, the Tulsa Area United Way, the Boy Scouts of America, the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame, the Tulsa Opera, and numerous professional and amateur golf tournaments.  Tom has also been instrumental in fund raising for the First Tee of Tulsa via the Red Bud Cup golf tournament, the University of Tulsa School of Music via the Warburton Family and Friends Student Musician Fund and the Tulsa Not-For-Profit Community via grants from the Warburton Family Foundation.

A father of four and grandfather of many, Tom lives in Tulsa with his wife of almost 50 years.
